Is it worth it?
Workiz can be worth it for phone-driven on-demand trades. For most other shops, quote-only pricing and a top-heavy plan structure make it hard to justify.
The value case rests on phone and lead tools that are sold separately, and on trade features like flat rate, checklists and service plans that only come with Ultimate. If you're a locksmith or garage door company spending real money on ads, get a quote that includes Genius Phone and compare it with what those leads earn you. Everyone else should price published alternatives first, starting with our guide to field service management software.
Workiz moved to quote-only pricing in 2026. As of October 2026, its pricing page lists three plans (Standard, Pro and Ultimate), and each one says "Request pricing." So there's no current price we can give you. What we can give you is what each plan includes, what Workiz last published before the change (from a third-party record, April 2026), the add-ons that cost extra, and a sensible way to judge the quote you get back.

What a real shop pays for Workiz
Solo owner-operator (1 user)
Was $225/mo billed annually for 3 users in April 2026 (third-party record, not current)
Kickstart (historical) or Standard (quote)
Kickstart and the free Lite plan (up to 2 users) no longer appear on Workiz's page. Today a solo owner would request a quote, most likely for Standard. For comparison, Jobber Core is $29/mo and Housecall Pro Basic is $59/mo, both billed annually and published.
5-tech shop (5 users)
Was $275/mo (Standard) or $325/mo (Pro) for 5 users in April 2026 (third-party record, not current)
Standard or Pro (quote)
Add Genius Phone, Answering or Marketing if you need them; their prices aren't listed. Card processing rates aren't published either. Ask for the annual and monthly price, since Workiz's FAQ says annual billing saves '$400+'.
15-tech shop (15 users)
By April 2026 list prices: Standard $735/mo or Pro $865/mo, using annual extra-user rates (third-party record, not current)
Standard or Pro + 10 extra users (quote)
Standard was $275 plus 10 extra users at $46 each; Pro was $325 plus 10 at $54. At the monthly extra-user rates ($55 and $65), it was $825 and $975. A 15-tech HVAC or plumbing shop would likely need Ultimate, which was always quoted.

Workiz pricing in October 2026
There's no price list. Workiz's pricing page shows Standard, Pro and Ultimate, each with a "Request pricing" button. It doesn't say how many users each plan includes. Prices exclude sales tax where it applies. The FAQ says annual billing is discounted and saves "$400+," and that there's a 7-day free trial with no credit card.
That's a change from earlier in 2026, when Workiz listed prices for several plans, including a free one. If you're reading an older review or comparison with dollar figures for Workiz, treat them as history.
What each plan includes, and leaves out
Standard covers scheduling, jobs, estimates, invoicing, client management, online payments, service areas, built-in reports, QuickBooks sync, subcontractor management and 5 automations. It leaves out custom reports, roles and permissions, multi-location management, performance pay, Genius Leads, Genius Scheduling and everything listed under Ultimate.
Pro adds 10 automations, performance pay, Genius Leads, Genius Scheduling, custom reports, multi-location management, roles and permissions, and "On my way Plus." It still leaves out flat rate, checklists, service plans, sales proposals, inventory and multi-day jobs.
Ultimate adds 30 automations, service plans, sales proposals, inventory management, flat rate, checklists, multi-day jobs, franchise management, open API, equipment tracking, purchase orders, custom documents, tasks and Zapier integration. Workiz labels it "Most popular."
The structure is top-heavy. Standard and Pro differ mostly in reporting, permissions and lead tools. The trade features, the ones an HVAC, plumbing or appliance shop uses every day, are concentrated in Ultimate.
The last published prices
A third-party record preserves Workiz's list prices from April 2026. These are not current and Workiz no longer shows them:
| Plan | Price (April 2026) | Users included | Extra users |
|---|---|---|---|
| Lite | Free (since removed) | up to 2 | n/a |
| Kickstart | $225/mo, billed annually | 3 | not listed |
| Standard | $275/mo | 5 | $46 annual / $55 monthly |
| Pro | $325/mo | 5 | $54 annual / $65 monthly |
| Ultimate | Quoted | n/a | n/a |
Two of those plans, Lite and Kickstart, aren't on the current page at all. The cheapest current plan is Standard, which means the lowest-cost way into Workiz for a small shop has likely gone up, though without published prices we can't say by how much.
What a 1, 5 and 15-user shop might pay
Using April 2026 list prices only as a reference point:
- 1 user: Kickstart was $225/mo annually for 3 users. That plan is gone, so you'd be quoted on Standard.
- 5 users: Standard was $275/mo and Pro was $325/mo.
- 15 users: Standard plus 10 extra users at the annual rate was $275 + $460 = $735/mo. Pro was $325 + $540 = $865/mo.
Then add Genius Phone, Answering or Marketing, which are sold separately at prices not listed, and card processing, whose rates aren't published.
Add-ons
Genius Phone, Genius Answering and Genius Marketing are each listed as sold separately. The comparison table on the same page marks some of their features as included, which makes it unclear what you get without them. Ask your rep for a line-by-line answer.
Owners commonly report in public reviews that the phone, AI answering and marketing features cost extra on top of the plan. Since those are the features that set Workiz apart, assume you'll pay for at least one.
Contracts, billing and trial
Workiz's pricing page doesn't state contract terms. It says annual plans are discounted. Ask whether the monthly option has a minimum term, what happens if you cancel an annual plan early, and how much notice you need to give before renewal.
The 7-day trial is short. Set up your phone numbers, a few job types and your payment account before day one, so you spend the trial running real calls rather than configuring.
Questions to ask on the quote call
Without a public price list, the quote call is where you protect yourself. Get these answered in writing:
- What's the monthly and annual price for my plan, and how many users does it include?
- What does each extra user cost, on annual and monthly billing?
- Which Genius add-ons are in this quote, what does each cost, and which features in the demo depend on them?
- What are the card, ACH and Tap to Pay processing rates, including per-transaction fees?
- Is there a minimum term on monthly billing, and what happens if I cancel an annual plan early?
- If I need flat rate, checklists or service plans, what does Ultimate cost for my team?
Compare the total with the published prices below before you decide.
Is Workiz worth it
For a locksmith, garage door, appliance repair or junk removal business where most jobs start as an inbound call from paid advertising, it can be. If call tracking shows you that one lead source is wasting $1,500 a month, the software pays for itself. Get a quote that includes Genius Phone and judge it against your ad spend.
For a recurring-route business, or an HVAC or plumbing shop that wants flat rate and service plans, it's harder to justify. You'd need Ultimate, which has never had a published price, and you'd be comparing it with tools that publish theirs.
Cheaper options
All as of October 2026, with published prices:
- Housecall Pro Essentials is $149/mo billed annually for up to 5 users and includes flat-rate pricing, checklists and QuickBooks sync.
- Jobber Connect is $149/mo billed annually for 5 users, and Grow is $229/mo for 5 users.
- Kickserv lists Start at $60/mo for 5 users and Run at $119/mo for 10 users, with 20% off annual billing.
- Service Fusion Starter is $208/mo billed annually with unlimited users.
None of these is built around the phone the way Workiz is. If call tracking is the reason you're looking, price a separate call-tracking tool alongside one of these and compare the total with your Workiz quote.

Questions owners ask
How much does Workiz cost per month?
Workiz doesn't publish prices as of October 2026. Standard, Pro and Ultimate all show 'Request pricing.' The last published list prices, from April 2026 per a third-party record, were $275/mo for Standard and $325/mo for Pro, each including 5 users. Treat those as historical. Your quote may differ.
Why did Workiz stop showing prices?
Workiz hasn't said publicly on its pricing page. What we know is that by October 2026, every plan showed 'Request pricing,' and the Kickstart and free Lite plans that appeared in earlier published pricing were gone. The practical effect is that you need a sales conversation to get a number.
Does Workiz have a free trial?
Yes. Workiz's FAQ describes a 7-day free trial with no credit card required. That's shorter than Jobber's and Housecall Pro's 14-day trials, so set it up during a week when you can run real calls and jobs through it.
Is Workiz cheaper than Housecall Pro?
Based on the last published prices, no. In April 2026, Workiz Standard was $275/mo for 5 users per a third-party record, while Housecall Pro Essentials is $149/mo billed annually for up to 5 users as of October 2026. Workiz's current prices are quote-only, so compare a real quote.
What's included in Workiz Standard?
Per Workiz's pricing page, Standard covers scheduling, jobs, estimates, invoicing, client management, online payments, service areas, built-in reports, QuickBooks sync, subcontractor management and 5 automations. Custom reports, roles and permissions and Genius Leads need Pro, and flat rate, checklists and service plans need Ultimate.
