Privacy Policy

We don't run accounts, forms or ad trackers. This page explains the little data that is collected when you read the site or click through to a vendor, and who handles it.

The short version

BlueCollarStacks is a reading site. You can't create an account here, we don't run comment sections or sign-up forms, and we don't sell personal information. Our pages load no advertising trackers or social media widgets, and the site itself doesn't set cookies.

Two things do involve data: our hosting provider handles the technical details of every request, and vendors or affiliate networks may set cookies after you click through to their sites. Both are explained below.

This policy took effect on November 7, 2026.

What is collected when you visit

The site is hosted on Cloudflare. Like any web host, Cloudflare receives standard request information when your browser loads a page: your IP address, browser and device type, the page requested, the referring page and the time. Cloudflare uses this to deliver pages, block attacks and keep the service running, and it may set a strictly necessary security cookie to tell real visitors from bots. How Cloudflare handles that data is covered by Cloudflare's own privacy terms.

We may also use aggregate analytics to count visits, see which pages people read and which outbound buttons get clicked. We use these numbers to decide what to update and write next. We don't use analytics to identify individual visitors, and we don't combine it with other data about you. If we add an analytics tool that uses cookies or advertising identifiers, we'll update this page before it goes live.

Some buttons and links on this site go through a /go/ address on our domain and then on to a vendor's website, sometimes by way of an affiliate network. Our affiliate disclosure explains how these links work and how they're paid.

When you follow one of these links:

  • The vendor or the affiliate network may set a cookie in your browser so it can credit us if you sign up. That cookie is set on their site, under their privacy policy, not ours.
  • The link may carry a short code naming the page and position you clicked from (for example, a ranked table or a review sidebar). It doesn't contain anything about you.
  • We receive reports from vendors and networks with totals such as clicks, sign-ups and commissions. We don't receive your name, email address or payment details from them.

If you'd rather not be tracked this way, go to the vendor's website directly instead of using our links, or block third-party cookies in your browser.

Calculators and templates

The roofing, painting and HVAC calculators run entirely in your browser. The numbers you type aren't sent to us or stored anywhere. The same goes for the invoice and estimate templates: the files are built on your device when you download them.

When you email us

If you email us with a question or a correction, we receive your email address, your name if you include it, and whatever you write. We use it to reply and to fix the page if needed. We don't add you to a mailing list, and we don't share your message with vendors unless you ask us to. We keep correspondence only as long as it's useful for answering you and keeping a record of corrections.

What we don't do

  • We don't sell or rent personal information, and we don't share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.
  • We don't run ads on the site or build advertising profiles.
  • We don't knowingly collect information from children under 13. The site is written for business owners.

Because we don't sell or share personal information, there is nothing to opt out of, but we treat Global Privacy Control signals from your browser as an opt-out request anyway.

Your choices and rights

Depending on where you live, privacy laws such as the California Consumer Privacy Act or the EU and UK GDPR may give you the right to ask what personal information we hold about you, to correct it, or to have it deleted. In practice, the only personal information we'd hold is correspondence you've sent us. To make a request, email us at the address in the site footer. We'll answer within 30 days and won't treat you differently for asking.

For data held by Cloudflare, a vendor or an affiliate network, contact that company directly. We can't access or delete it on their behalf.

Security

The site is served only over HTTPS. Because we don't collect payment details, passwords or account data, there's very little personal information here to protect, and we keep it that way on purpose.

Changes to this policy

If we change how the site handles data, for example by adding a newsletter or a different analytics tool, we'll update this page and the date at the top before the change takes effect.
