The short version
BlueCollarStacks is supported by affiliate commissions. When you click certain links on this site and then buy or sign up for a product, the company that sells it may pay us a commission. You don't pay anything extra, and the price you see is the same price you'd get going to the vendor directly.
Commissions don't affect our rankings, scores, picks or reviews.
Which links are affiliate links
Affiliate links on BlueCollarStacks go through a /go/ address on our own domain, for example a link that starts with bluecollarstacks.com/go/ followed by a product name. Buttons such as "Try Jobber free for 14 days" or "Get a ServiceTitan quote" use these links, and they're marked as sponsored in the page code. When you click one, you're redirected to the vendor's site, and the vendor can tell the visit came from us.
Not every outbound link is an affiliate link. Links to vendor pricing pages, government sites and other sources that we cite in an article are ordinary links, and we earn nothing from them.
If you'd rather not use an affiliate link, you can always go to the vendor's website directly. It won't change our reviews or what you pay.
Which programs we participate in
We participate in affiliate programs including programs run by field service software vendors such as Jobber and Housecall Pro. We may also join programs run by other software, payroll, insurance and business-service companies we cover, either directly or through affiliate networks.
The list changes over time as programs open, close or change their terms, so we don't publish a fixed list. If a page includes an affiliate link to a product, assume we may earn a commission from it.
How commissions affect what we write
They don't. Specifically:
- We never rank by payout. The order of picks on a page is our honest judgment of what fits the buyer that page is written for.
- Tools without affiliate programs are covered the same way. We include and rank them on the same criteria, and a tool doesn't lose its spot because it pays us nothing.
- Scores use fixed weights (features 35%, ease of use 25%, value 25%, support 15%) applied the same way to every product.
- Vendors can't pay for placement, review changes, higher scores or removal of cons. No vendor sees a review before it's published.
- Every pick includes real cons, including tools we earn commissions on.

Prices and offers
Prices on BlueCollarStacks come from each vendor's published pricing page and are dated. Vendors change prices, plans and promotions without notice, so always confirm the current price on the vendor's site before you buy. If a vendor offers a discount or extended trial through our link, we'll say so on the page; we don't invent deals.

We publish this disclosure in line with the US Federal Trade Commission's guidance on endorsements, which asks publishers to tell readers clearly when they have a financial relationship with the companies they write about. A short version of this disclosure also appears in the site footer.
