Our verdict
Briostack is a strong middle option for pest and lawn companies that sell door to door.
Briostack sits between per-route apps like GorillaDesk and heavier platforms like PestPac and FieldRoutes. Its offline tech app, chemical usage tracking and built-in sales tools fit a growing residential pest and lawn company, especially one with a summer sales team. The drawbacks are no published pricing, reporting owners describe as less flexible than bigger platforms, and some reported mobile sync issues. To compare it with other options, see our guide to software for pest control businesses.
Briostack was started by people who ran a pest control company, and it shows. The software splits into three parts: Brio Office for scheduling, routing and billing, Brio Tech for the technician's phone (it works without a signal), and Brio Sales for door-to-door reps and territories. It covers pest and lawn, which suits companies that sell both. As of October 2026 Briostack has no public pricing page. Third-party sites give rough figures, which we lay out below with clear labels, along with what to ask for when you request a quote.

What Briostack is
Briostack is business management software for pest control and lawn care companies. Briostack says it was founded by the CEO of a pest control company out of frustration with existing software, and the product is organized the way a pest office runs:
- Brio Office for scheduling, routing, customer communication, invoicing, billing and the QuickBooks connection.
- Brio Tech for the technician app on iOS and Android.
- Brio Sales for lead tracking, sales territories, leaderboards, sign-ups and marketing campaigns.
There's also a public API for connecting third-party tools. It sits in the small to mid-size pest and lawn market, between simple per-route apps and enterprise platforms.
Recurring service, scheduling and routing
Briostack's office side handles recurring programs: quarterly general pest, monthly mosquito in season, annual termite renewals and lawn fertilization rounds. Briostack says Brio Office automates scheduling and routing, and the tech app gives turn-by-turn directions on the optimized route.
Recurring billing is a core feature, which matters more than the schedule for most pest companies. When 400 customers pay a quarterly or monthly program fee, you need billing to run on its own and flag failed cards, not an office manager rebuilding invoices every month.
For companies selling both pest and lawn, having both programs on one customer record keeps the account clean. The customer gets one bill, and the tech sees the full service history before ringing the doorbell.
The tech app and chemical records
Brio Tech is the part owners talk about. Briostack says techs can view service history, customer details and work orders, follow optimized routes, track and report chemical usage, schedule and reschedule appointments, and sell new services from the app. It works without data connectivity, which is a real advantage for crawl spaces, basements and rural routes.
Chemical usage tracking from the field is what keeps you out of trouble with state regulators. What you must record for each application varies by state, so confirm during the demo that every field your state requires is captured and appears on the customer's service record.
The flip side of offline mode is syncing. Owners commonly report occasional mobile sync issues, so build a habit during rollout: techs confirm completed services have synced before the end of the day.
Bids, sales and door-to-door
Brio Sales is the feature set most pest apps don't have. Briostack lists sales territories, leaderboards to motivate reps, a faster customer sign-up process, marketing campaigns and lead generation. Briostack is also described as offering bid and diagramming tools for quoting.
If you run a summer door-to-door program, this is the main reason to look at Briostack. Reps sign customers in the field, the account lands in the office ready to schedule, and managers see who's selling by territory. A shop without a sales team won't use much of it.
Customer communication, payments and QuickBooks
Briostack says Brio Office handles customer communications and simplifies invoicing and billing, with a QuickBooks integration for the books. Payment processing rates aren't published, so ask for them in the same quote as the software. For a recurring-service company, the payment side is where you'll feel the difference week to week: autopay on quarterly programs, clear failed-payment alerts, and reminders that go out without a CSR typing them.
Briostack also lists partner services for customer service, voice and customer feedback that integrate with the platform. Treat each as its own buying decision.
Switching to Briostack
Move in your slow months. For pest and lawn companies in most of the country, that means late fall and winter, after the last lawn round and before spring pest calls pick up. Ask precisely what Briostack's data conversion brings across: customers and service locations, recurring schedules, open balances, stored payment methods, service history and chemical application records. The last two are the ones most often left behind, and you may need them if a regulator asks.
Run the first two weeks with techs completing services in Brio Tech while the office double-checks billing against your old system. Don't let reps sell in the new system until territories and pricing are set up, or you'll clean up mismatched accounts all spring.
Briostack pricing in plain terms
Briostack doesn't publish prices, and as of October 2026 there's no public pricing page. The only figures available are third-party estimates, not published by Briostack:
- Software Advice lists Briostack as "starting at $50.00 per month."
- An undated LawnStarter review describes roughly $95 per office user and $45 per field user per month, with an annual contract.
Treat both as rough and unverified. If the per-user figures hold, here's how they'd stack up:
| Company | Office users | Field techs | Estimated monthly cost |
|---|---|---|---|
| Small pest shop | 1 | 2 | About $185 ($95 + 2 x $45) |
| Pest and lawn, growing | 2 | 6 | About $460 (2 x $95 + 6 x $45) |
| Mid-size pest and lawn company | 3 | 12 | About $825 (3 x $95 + 12 x $45) |
Those numbers are only for planning a conversation. Your quote may differ, and it may include onboarding or data conversion fees that third parties don't mention.
Add-ons with unpublished prices include marketing services, direct mail and an AI answering service. Ask for each one as its own line so you can decide separately.
When you request a quote, ask for the billing basis (office versus field users, or something else), contract length and renewal terms, onboarding and data conversion fees, payment processing rates, and what format your data comes out in if you leave. Then compare the total against GorillaDesk, which publishes per-route pricing with unlimited users: three routes on GorillaDesk Pro cost $199 a month as of October 2026.
Where Briostack falls short
Pricing transparency is the first problem. You can't compare Briostack to anything without a sales call, and the estimates available online are dated and loose.
Reporting is the most common complaint among users. Owners commonly report it's less flexible than larger platforms like PestPac or FieldRoutes, which matters once you want profitability by service line, route density by tech, or sales rep commission reports beyond what's built in.
Mobile sync, as covered above, is the other recurring theme. Offline mode helps in the field but needs a check at day's end.
Who should look elsewhere
Small residential pest, pool or lawn shops that want low, published pricing should start with GorillaDesk, which charges per route with unlimited users. Larger operators with heavy commercial and audit work should compare PestPac and FieldRoutes, both quote only, which offer more depth in IPM, multi-branch and reporting. If you're a lawn-only mowing company, a lawn-first tool will likely fit better. For a residential pest and lawn company with a sales team, Briostack deserves a spot in the demo lineup.
Questions owners ask
How much does Briostack cost?
Briostack doesn't publish prices. Third-party estimates, not published by Briostack, include a Software Advice listing of 'starting at $50.00 per month' and an undated LawnStarter review describing about $95 per office user and $45 per field user per month on an annual contract. Treat both as rough and unverified, and get a written quote.
Does Briostack have a free trial?
No free trial is listed. Briostack's site directs you to request a demo. If you want to try a pest-friendly tool yourself first, GorillaDesk offers a free trial and publishes its prices, so you can compare the experience before sitting through Briostack's demo.
Does the Briostack app work offline?
Briostack says its Brio Tech app lets techs work without data connectivity. That helps in crawl spaces, basements and rural routes. Some owners report occasional sync issues once the device reconnects, so during setup have techs check that completed services and chemical records show up in the office before they leave the next stop.
Is Briostack good for lawn care too?
Yes. Briostack markets lawn care software alongside pest control and pitches the combination for companies offering both. That's useful when the same customer gets quarterly pest service and a fertilization program. A lawn-only company focused on mowing crews may get more from a lawn-first tool.
Does Briostack integrate with QuickBooks?
Briostack says Brio Office integrates with QuickBooks. It also offers a public API for connecting other tools. Ask during the demo which version of QuickBooks is supported and how payments, customers and invoices sync, since that decides how much double entry your bookkeeper still does.
